  • I offer individual and couples’ psychotherapy for adults, and I greatly enjoy the challenge of working with a wide range of people and their concerns. I do, however, have some specific interests and areas of expertise:

    • Recovery from trauma, grief and loss: I prioritise creating a safe space where survivors can access their natural resilience to promote healing. I have a keen interest in Trauma Theory and am committed to validating the effects of trauma on the brain and also providing Psychoeducation around proactive ways to move through the associated grief and loss

    • Depression and Anxiety; I blend cognitive-behavioural techniques DBT and ACT practices with an exploration of the underlying causes of distress.

    • Habit Change and Goal Setting: I use motivational interviewing techniques to help people get unstuck from the patterns that trouble them most and make desired changes in their lives.

    • Employment and Career Consultation: I help people recover from job loss, change careers, maintain professional roles, deal with workplace politics and address creative blocks.

    • Exploring Identity: I provide an accepting space for discovery in which people can explore who they are, where they’re going, and who they want to be.

    • Emotional Regulation and Conflict Resolution: I teach interpersonal skills and coping tools to help people communicate assertively and improve their relationships.

    • Parenting Support: Parenting is tough! I have four boys under 11 and love supporting parents of all ages to navigate the challenges associated with parenting life.

Everyone is welcome! I am interested in inviting those who may not feel as comfortable in all treatment spaces; members of the LGBTQIA+ communities, members of marginalised groups, those in non-traditional relationships and everyone else who struggles with how to succeed on this planet without forcing themselves to fit in.
